Ultimate Guide to Corporate Teambuilding Activities That Boost Staff Morale

Are you looking to shake up your team dynamics and foster stronger connections? TVG’s teambuilding activities might be the secret ingredient you’ve been missing.

This past month, we’ve seen firsthand how these exhilarating experiences can transform groups, from school students to corporate professionals. Here are some of the exciting teambuilding experiences we’ve had this past month!

Nurturing Future Leaders through School Camps

September was a record-breaking month for our school leadership camps. We hosted an impressive 24 different school groups, engaging over 2,000 students in various adventure teambuilding activities over multiple days. These camps were carefully designed to cultivate leadership skills and personal growth with different activities and outcomes for each age group or objective.

Our busiest day saw 6 school camps running simultaneously across different venues around the country.

With experienced staff, reputable infrastructure, and the ability to run even more groups simultaneously across the country, our teams always manage to pull these camps off seamlessly, ensuring that each group has a unique and impactful experience.

Many of these camps featured leadership-focused workshops where individuals learned valuable skills through hands-on activities, formal workshops, and integrated leadership lessons into every adventure, tailoring our approach to suit each group’s specific needs and goals, confirming TVG’s dominance in this industry.

Corporate Teambuilding Events: Fostering Collaboration and Innovation

September, being the start of Spring, saw us host several exciting and fun events that showcased the power of custom teambuilding exercises that included:

  • Themed Sports Days
  • Beach Challenges and Games
  • Amazing Explorer Races
  • Cocktail Making and Themed parties
  • Potjie Competitions with a twist!
  • Gamified Experiences
  • Bingo Quiz shows
  • Team Assessments and Tailored Workshops

These events demonstrate how collaborative tasks, sports games, and even adventure-based learning can be tailored to meet various corporate needs, from enhancing communication and teamwork through workshops to improving problem-solving skills and just having some fun bonding time to break from that monotonous conference or work environment.

Bridging Academia and Outdoor Education

One of the month’s highlights was hosting 50 university students from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for their Adventure Recreation Association (ARA) Level 2 Adventure Tourism course. TVG has been offering this annual service to TUT for more than 20 years already.

This program, part of the required degree curriculum, integrates tourism into the methodology of the ARA course. Students stayed at our Seula Zimbili venue and experienced firsthand how the entry-level outdoor adventure education programs operate in terms of facilitation and entry-level water, ropes, and other activity offerings. Students had to write exams and complete detailed assessments.

This blend of academic learning and practical experience showcases the growing importance of adventure-based learning in higher education. It prepares students for careers in tourism while developing essential life skills.

Custom Activations Tailored to Your Needs

Our team’s creativity shone through in custom engagement activations, like the latest engagement we once again created for Momentum.

After the huge success of Momentum “Unlock the Box” and Momentum “Tipping Point,” we were tasked to come up with a NEW concept that will be recognisable to clients, create nostalgia, engage participants, promote healthy competition, and be spectator friendly whilst ensuring the participants are engaged with the product offering and provide meaningful statistical data that could assist the company in measurable outcomes.

Our team designed a custom “Snakes and Ladders” concept combined with our gamification technology, transforming a classic game into an active and engaging successful exercise. The promotional concept has already been successfully showcased at 3 of the country’s biggest insurance industry conferences held at Sun City, Monte Casino, and Capital Zimbali and continues to reach its target audience!

These personalised activations for corporations showcase our ability to tailor custom concepts to meet specific client needs. Whether it’s a unique challenge or a twist on a familiar game, we can create experiences that resonate with any group.
